User accounts
Signing in is optional and is handled via Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for what data is stored and what happens on deletion.
User contributions
By submitting a vote (thumbs up/down) or a comment, you grant Varaico a non-exclusive license to display and use that contribution to improve the service. Aggregate vote signals may be retained and displayed even after you delete your account, in a form that cannot be traced back to you.
Data disclaimer
Varaico variants are generated by an automated process that extracts factual information from scientific papers about genes (by matching strings against gene names) and HGVS variant descriptions (using regular expressions). We aim to reduce false positive gene and variant mentions and link them together appropriately, but many variants shown on this website may not be mapped to the genomic position intended by the authors.
Varaico variants may or may not be disease-causing.
We take no responsibility for diagnoses or medical decisions based on information obtained from this website.

Regarding the variants extracted from papers and the text snippets shown from research papers: "Some rights reserved. This work permits non-commercial use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited."
